Week 14 – Jimmy Dice Goes 4 And 1

Jimmy Dice delivered another stellar weekend with his picks for week 14 going a solid 4-1  ending his week in the Monday night game as he took Bill Bellichick’s New England Patriots to cover the spread which they duly did with a 27-13 comprehensive win over the banged up Arizona Cardinals.

The Pats’ marauding defence ran riot as they sacked beleaguered QB Kyle Murray 6 times and Jimmy’s call was accurate as despite a gutsy effort from the Cardinals there were just too many match-ups where New England could take advantage of Arizona’s second string players.

The Diceman took the Philadelphia Eagles who romped to a blowout win 48-22 justifying it as a Jimmy Gem. The Eagles overwhelmed a mediocre New York Giants outfit who are starting to play the way most pundits and fans thought they might however a wild-card spot is still looking a good possibility as the New Yorkers remain in with a chance with their decent 7-5-1 record. The Eagles are only 12-1 with their loss and tight win over 17-16 Indianapolis looking like blips with Jalen Hurts only adding fuel to the fire when it comes to this season’s MVP.

Jimmy took the Bengals – the Cashman’s team – to cover as he stayed with the hot arm of Joe Burrows who helped Cincinnati win their 5th game in a row beating divisional rivals, Cleveland Browns 23-10. The Bengals have quietly become Super Bowl contenders again after a slow start and it’s no surprise that Joe Mixon (96 yards rushing), Joe Burrows (239 yards passing 2 TD’s 1 I INT) and Ja’Marr Chase (game-high 10 catches, 119 receiving yards with 1 TD) are all suddenly showing why they almost won the Super Bowl last season.

The Ravens delivered for Jimmy in week 14 as Lamarr Jackson perhaps dealing with a few injury niggles was still able to cover the spread as his Baltimore team won another tight game as John Harbaugh’s team squeaked past divisional foes Mike Tomlins’ Pittsburgh Steelers. In spite of their poor reviews and being slated by numerous pundits the Steelers have been in many of their games and they did not give a bad account of themselves in only losing 16-14 to the Ravens.

The massive surprise of week 14 to both the Diceman himself and his followers was Tennessee Titans’ stunning 36-22 home loss to Trevor Lawrence’s inconsistent Jags. It was a huge shock as they were not even close to covering the spread.
